Please have a look at this forum discussion. http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3806 The lead developer has made it clear it is not high on his priority list. Only USA and Canada use imperial units, the rest of the world (6.2 billion people VS. 380 million) uses the metric system. To quote jriegel: "FreeCAD will support if someone is willing to invest his time." That means, a North American programmer willing to implement imperial units in FreeCAD (as any other human has no interest in the imperial system). Until that time, the current situation will remain unchanged. |
