| Description | When the Part Revolve task pane comes up it contains no shapes for selection even if a shape was selected prior to clicking the tool icon. Rotation of object cannot be applied | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Open FreeCAD. Open New document. Select part workbench. Create object (cylinder 2 mm radius, 10 mm in height). Select object to revolve. Press Part Revolve icon. Task Pane comes up on left. Shapes panel contains neither objects to select nor the object selected before entry. Error message pops up "Select a shape for revolution first." | ||||

So you are trying to revolve a solid cylinder? You can't do that. Depending on you modelling and freecad experience, you might have better luck posting in the forum help. Lots of people there eager to help. |

Looks like an invalid ticket to me. |

OK. Revolve is revolution of a 2D shape to create a 3D solid not the rotation of an object about an axis. My bad - I have it working with a circle to produce a torus |
