johnD, the version you are using is very old and I would recommend you install a current 0.14 version from the PPA. You should see this post on the forums for instructions on how to install it. http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5888 As I type, there have been over thirteen hundred and eighty bug fixes/additions/improvements to FreeCAD sense the version you have installed now. (0.13.1830) I'm sure that whatever issues you are experiencing have long sense been fixed and included in the current 0.14 development builds available through the PPA. |

I'll assing this to myself and close it if we don't get more feedback... Indeed it doesn't cause any crash for me, probably something already solved. |
