| Steps To Reproduce | Try to save a file: enter a file name character by character, the save-button becomes inactive after a few letters typed. It looks as if the new file name can not have more characters as the old one | ||||

Not reproducible with: OS: Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS Word size: 32-bit Version: 0.15.3748 (Git) Branch: master Hash: 80cc2e4710a32b30e9334b11ace3e33a69df06db Python version: 2.7.3 Qt version: 4.8.1 Coin version: 3.1.3 SoQt version: 1.5.0 OCC version: 6.5.0 I guess that this is a bug in your installed Qt version. I just didn't care about the future ;-) Think, I did a "git clone git:((free-cad-git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/freecad.." etc, and compiled out of source. I was quite surprised to have version 0.15, but didn't see the year 2041 |

2041 is right for that hash, but you don't have 0.15 please update your git remote configuration to fetch from git://git.code.sf.net/p/free-cad/code |

But back to the actual issue: Can you try this with any other application which is directly based on the Qt toolkit but doesn't depend on KDE stuff? Maybe Qt Creator or one of the demo applications inside https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/amd64/qt4-demos/filelist |

I will do so. In the meantime I updated my git configuration, but this behavior persists. I'm one the way to familiarize myself with Debian, Qt etc. There is a lot to learn. |
