There is a way to bypass the bug: use the sketch indirectly. Create a clone of the sketch, and create a pad, based on the clone, rather than the sketch. |

Please always ask about the matter first on the Help forum, when you think you have found a bug, so as to reduce the number of bug tickets and increase their quality. Based on your description, FreeCAD is doing what it is supposed to do, if I am understanding you correctly, which I may not be. I can't understand why you would think this is a bug, which makes me wonder if I am miss understanding you. Please feel free to post this to the Help forum, we can re-open this ticket if we need to, so I will close it for now.
