| Summary | 0002374: Bug using linear pattern tool on pocket with draft or fillets | ||||
| Description | A bug occurs when using the linear pattern tool for a pocket that has draft or fillets. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Correct operation: 1. Pad a rectangle to create a long rectangular block. 2. Pocket a small rectangular hole either through-all or partial. 3. Create a linear pattern of several pockets. The above actions produce a normal result of several identical pockets in the base block spread out by the specified parameters. Bug: 1. Go back to a single pocket. 2. Add draft to the walls of the pocket to make the base smaller than the opening. Or add a fillet to the base of the pocket. 3. Create a linear pattern with this pocket. The result is that just the original pocket is shown correctly. The additional pockets appear as a rectangle on the surface, but they do not have any depth. The expected behavior is the same as the correct operation presented above. | ||||
| Additional Information | I left the severity of this as minor, because it could be worked-around by a one-by-one process. However, I'm working on a design where I want 100 pockets, so not having this feature work correctly is a major issue for me. Thanks for your help. I'm beginning to like this a lot more than TinkerCAD. | ||||
