Summary0002465: Modify behaviour of Mechanical Analysis button
DescriptionCurrently, users without Netgen support working (including me) are always presented with an error every time the function to create a Mechanical Analysis is used.

This is caused because the function automatically begins the meshing of the objects, if selected. But it fails because Netgen support is not working.

Is there any possibility to make the step of automatically meshing the objects optional and add a toggle option in the FEM preferences?
Steps To ReproducePart Workbench:
1.- Create Cube

FEM:
1.- Select Cube
2.- Select Create a new Mechanical Analysis

Additional InformationFreeCAD must be compiled without Netgen support.

I totally agree with this. I would even go a step further and remove the mesh creation from analysis creation and only show the message if the netgen mesh creation button is triggered (http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=FEM_Create). In FreeCAD FEM the mesh is independet from all constriants. Since in FreeCAD we do not define the constraints at the mesh the mesh is not needed to define constraints. I define the constaints and loads first and at last I do the mesh. Furthermore there are in addition to netgen a few different possibilities to get a valid mesh for FEM.

Any other opinions ?

There is a simple way to get around this.

Part Workbench:
1.- Create Cube

FEM:
1.- !DO NOT SELECT! the Select Cube
2.- Select Create a new Mechanical Analysis

From my point of view the issue could be closed !
