| Summary | 0000263: FreeCAD Crashes on Startup on MacOS 10.5 | ||||
| Description | I downloaded the latest Version for Mac. The installation works fine. But when i tried to start it, it crashes. Always. I discoverd that the binary version only works with OSX 10.6, but i have 10.5. So why dont the installer check for the right operating system Version? There should be a warning if any user with an unsupported Operating System tries to install the program. On the other hand: whats the big problem for compiling FreeCAD on an 10.5 machine and putting the binary into the download folder? For me compiling is a problem, because I dont have any knowledge about that. | ||||

> On the other hand: whats the big problem for compiling FreeCAD on an 10.5 machine and putting the binary into the download folder? For me compiling is a problem, because I dont have any knowledge about that. The big problem is that none of the developers owns a Mac and thus it's hard to build the binaries. The installer we have is a contribution. |

We con not react on this errors, I think we should remove the Mac download as long we have not one of developers with a mac... I will probably by one at the end of the year..... |
