Summary0002654: 0.17.8046 can not create union of parts
DescriptionIn the enclosed file when I try and create a union of of the three parts it does not work.

I think the issue is that that the gear teeth are created by doing tangent snaps to circle and if I had to guess the rendering resolution is such that it does not see that the teeth are connected to the circle.

It may be a simple fix as having an option for freecad which is the minimal resolution. That is items closer than a certain distance are assumed to be connected when creating a union.
Steps To ReproduceSelect the three parts and click union
Additional InformationI love the object/part move improvements in 0.17, much better

Your project is full of modelling flaws. It starts already with the first sketch where all the teeth are not even connected with the circle. The second major flaw is to mix-up part design and part functions which sooner or later leads to a big mess.

Due to how the part is modelled a lot of inaccuracies are introduced and then it's not a wonder that the final fusion completely fails.

It's best to ask on the forum for some help how to model it correctly.
