Summary0002946: Pocket Dimension or Through nonfunctional unless symmetric to face
DescriptionThis does not make sense. When inserting a pocket on the same plane as the part, you should select through, or a dimensioned value and have the pocket built into the part. Not so.
If the symmetric to plane is not selected you will not get a pocket. This makes no sense because you don't want a pocket symmetric to the plane. You want the pocket in this case perpendicular to the plane. That is the hole gets drilled into the part. Not along the plane axis.

So in this case that part is incorrect as well.
Steps To ReproduceCreate a sketch and make a circle and make pad.
Create a sketch and make a circle and make pocket, through all. nothing happens. No hole
Try again with a dimension amount. Same thing.

You need to select "reversed". When you're working on, say, the XY plane, and you make a pad of length L, it goes up to +L in the z-direction. When you make a pocket on that plane of length L, it goes down to -L. If you pad up (you can reverse it so that your work plane is on top of your work piece) then you need to reverse your pocket.
