Summary0003453: Export *.fcstd file to *.stp file
DescriptionIn FreeCad, I open the AAA.stp file (70442 kB size). I will not make any changes and save as BBB.fcstd. A 26780 kB file is created. This BBB.fcstd file will then be opened in FreeCad. I will not make any changes and export to STEP file. A CCK.stp file of 387381 kB is created !!!
Thus, the AAA.stp and CCC.stp files contain exactly the same project. There is a problem in the big difference between the size of these files.

Go to the preferences and under Import-Export > STEP disable the setting: Write out curves in parametric space of surface
