Summary | 0003669: AddonManager should inform of the need to restart FreeCAD for changes to take effect
Description | Added workbenches will not show up in the workbench selector until FreeCAD is restarted; the same is true for updated workbenches, for the new code to be reloaded. Therefore there should be mention of it in the AddonManager window. It could either be text added at the bottom of the window (simplest method), or some other means (a pop up dialog that opens after the user presses the "Close" button only if changes were made). Proposed text (English not being my first language, this can certainly be improved): Please restart FreeCAD for changes to take effect.

The text was actually there for a long time, but it was immediately replaced by another after displayed. This is now fixed with https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/commit/a9f1a0c4e23df9ae16b4041c175d96735a2fddbb#diff-baf695f0fa55b7a28888992117590978 |
