| Summary | 0000674: Windows 7 hangs when FreeCad is started | ||||
| Description | I downloaded and installed FreeCAD_0.12.5284_x86_setup.msi on a 64bit version of Windows 7 running on an HP Elitebook 8540w. I have not been able to start the FreeCad application even once as it causes the entire operating to hang on startup. The main windows opens up and a progress bar at the bottom moves up to 50% at which point everything stops and the OS hangs. A reboot is required to recover. I have previously installed this same version on a 64bit version of Windows 7 running on my home PC with no problems. | ||||

Just to add, the HP has service pack 1 installed, and has 8GB of RAM. |

|
Most likely a graphic driver bug on your side since the 0.12 runs just fine on thousand of computers... |

|
Degrade to Minor because it's apparently not a FreeCAD problem but a hardware issue. |
