Forgot the main information : Ubuntu 12.04 32 bits!! It seems collada import works with 64 bits OS (tried Linux Mint Maya 64 bits) |

You need to give us more information, can you upload the file that can't open? What is the error message? |

Ok my fault. I tried with other collada files (I should have done that before posting here, sorry) and it seems it works. I don't know what is going on with my files since they work perfectly well in Blender and ROS/Gazebo. It gives me the following error : "Exception (Fri Nov 23 14:44:27 2012): float() argument must be a string or a number". I can't upload the files, sorry. |

Hm there is probably a special case in that files that pycollada cannot handle... But without the file to look into there is little we can do.
I'm gonna close this bug report, but don't hesitate to reopen if needed. |
