| Steps To Reproduce | 1. open (or create new) file 2. use the File -> Close all 3. try to repeat the step 1. or exit the program from menu | ||||

When using "Close All" then all documents will be closed (after confirmation of modified documents). Afterwards only commands that do not rely on an existing document are working (File > New, File > Open, ...) and the vast majority is greyed out because it doesn't make sense to have them activated otherwise. So, why is this considered as bug? |
I had reported it as bug because making impossible to open, create new or exit FreeCad when all edit like windows are closed make no sense (the program can be closed only by killing the process from command line or task manager) |
But as said above the commands Open, New and Exit *are* active after using "Close all". Maybe there is something wrong with Ubuntu 14.10? On one system I have installed the Cinnamon desktop and there I sometimes have the situation that a menu item looks disabled but it's not. So maybe you can try to click on the item even if it looks disabled. |

@mcgiwer can you retest on a more recent version of FreeCAD? Also include data from Help > About FreeCAD Thx |

@Kunda1 I think that the person who's responsible for maintanancing the repositories for Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.) should keep updating them more frequent because such ones get quickly outdated. I will test it on the Ubuntu 16.10. Mayby it would help me to verify if this bug still exist |

mcgwier, yes, please test it on 16.10 debian is famous for having slow release cycles. I think there is a PPA you can also try. Either way, I don't think you'll be able to reproduce. I can't reproduce on:
I'll resolve this issue for now. If you can reproduce please reopen |
