Summary0002693: (Debian KERNEL Update?)>>> choppy 3D Animation
Descriptiona couple days ago all things worked nice, 3D animation was smooth and i was happy. now, i think since the last kernel update of Debian "Jessie", 3D animation is very ugly. it gets stuck for a short moment and jumps back 10 to 15 pixels and then it resumes and a short while after it stops again and jumps again. it is difficult to look at it when it jumps and flickers. it does happen on all of my computers and one of them is a ThinkStation S20 with a NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800. Yes it happens with the Quadro to, while the CPU and GPU are almost at 0% load. my be 2% or 3% load.

other 3d stuff seems to work fine i had this 3d racing game "torcs" running for several hours and it ran with maximum framerate also the spring engine based RTS Game "Balanced Anihilation" works without problem with nearly 300FPS. Also the molecule visualisation tool RASMOL(GTK) works as quick as ever. i think the 3D problem must be somwhere other then the openGL since all those games use openGL i dont know what FreeCAD uses to draw 3D Objects.

I hope it can be fixed and im sorry for any typos herin as my english is not very good.
Steps To Reproduceload the first sample project and let it spin for a while.

The 0.14 version in the Debian repository is utterly obsolete. The last release of FreeCAD is 0.16.6706, and 0.17 is currently in development. Therefore please install at least 0.16 to confirm whether you still have the bug.
