| Summary | 0002939: Sketcher / constrain the length of a line to the length of an arc | ||||
| Description | It would be extremely helpful for me to constrain the length of a line to the length of an arc in the sketcher. So I could generate (rather trivial) sheet metal unroll jobs in the sketcher. I have seen this feature implemented in SolveSpace. I also suggested this in the FreeCAD forum: http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=20240&p=156078#p156078 | ||||

You actually can constrain the length of a line to the length of an arc in the same sketch via the expression: Sketch.Shape.Edge1.Length where Edge1 is the arc. So concerning my personal usecase, I consider this feature request as already implemented in 0.17 |
