| Description | I'm walking through the Basic Part Design Tutorial at https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Basic_Part_Design_Tutorial When I attempt to pad Sketch 2, I get the error "None of selected sketches/2D objects is valid for padding" I've followed the steps exactly as far as I can tell. I've tried repeating them three times. I looked up the error message and came across issue 0002169 and tried looking for a circular reference issue by installing and viewing GraphViz. I don't see anything wrong. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Walk through the Basic Part Design Tutorial to the step: "Next we will click on the Pad feature and in the Pad dialog in the Combo View we want a length of 26 mm leaving the type as Dimension and then placing a check on the Reversed checkbox." It will fail with the error message cited. | ||||

It is a user error of using construction lines instead of real lines. Forum discussion: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?p=200083#p200083 It can be closed. |
