| Summary | 0003672: Techdraw: Change user defined scale > recompute after each digit | ||||
| Description | Hello, if you use a user defined scale the program will recompute the model after each digit, if the number is bigger than 10 (1:10). If you have the scale 1:50 and change 50 to 40, "50" is highlighted, if "40" is inserted it recalculate immediately the "4" (1:4) and later "40". This takes a long time depending on the complexity of the drawing. Maybe it would be helpful if there was an "Aply" button or hitting first the "Enter" button. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | - create a (large) 3D model - insert a sheet (Techdraw) - choose view (front, top, side) - change scale mode from auto to user defined (maybe it is 1:10) - insert "20" > first the views will be increased 1:2 > after recomputing, the zero will "arrive" and the model will be decreased to 1:20 | ||||

1) Please follow our guidelines next time (enormous yellow banner at the top of this page) 2) Please test with 0.18_pre release https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.18_pre (make sure to backup your file as it won't be backward compatible if you open it in 0.17) |

This refers to the Task dialog for ProjectionGroups? We fixed this in the property editor, I think. |

Thank you for your information. First of writing I read the guidelines and searched for the item, but I did not found something that was suitable for this issue. I am using FC on my company's notebook. I am not able to "try" releases, because I need support from IT department and I need a "official" version. I use FC on my private PC too, but at the moment I have no possibility to check the new release. As far as I can understand your answer, the new version of FC (0.18) solved this problem. Thank you for your support. |

@joerg we have an annual release cycle and many bugs get fixed between each release. If you can consider it and install and follow along with the dev version, you can see the latest changes and possibly also help us find bugs. Cheers. Closing ticket. |
