| Description | I'm trying to take a 3D cross-section of a part, and apparently I'm supposed to switch to the Draft workbench. However, FreeCAD crashes immediately whenever I do so. This crash happens immediately. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) Download https://github.com/im-tomu/tomu-hardware/blob/master/case/tomu_0.4_case_manufactured_tool.step 2) Open .step file in FreeCAD 3) Switch to Draft workbench | ||||

@Kunda1 I read the big yellow banner, and the link says to post in the forum first only if I'm unsure whether this is a bug or not. However, as per your request I will now ask there if this is expected behavior. |

@xobs due to the unconventional FreeCAD release cycle (annual) this issue may have been fixed in the next dev version 0.18_pre. In the yellow banner it states to now only post 0.18 dev bugs. Therefore we ask that you also test this issue on 0.18_pre. Also please try to use the Python3/Qt5 build to test this issue. Does that make sense ? |

@Kunda1 You're right about only posting 0.18 issues, sorry I missed that bit. Since it doesn't happen on 0.18_pre, and development on 0.17 seems to have stopped, this issue should be closed as "wontfix". Apologies for the noise. |
