| Description | When inserting a window into a wall, some or all the elements like extrusions present in the design are reported as having errors (No object linked, Cannot extrude empty shape (on extrude), A fatal error occurred when running boolean operation (on Cut). It can most of the time be repaired by deleting the window, but sometimes, the cut in the wall made by the window remains after window delete. Is there a way of repairing the design file ? | ||||

Another hint message obtained on a facebinder present in the design: Facebinder : Local variable 'Part' referenced before assignment. On a wall already containing a subtracted extruded circle for instance, when trying to insert a window in the wall, the cut is not made in the wall at the place of the window. |

Hi and welcome This is more appropriate for the Help forum this is a link for future reference to the topic you created there http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13867&p=110819#p110819 If you want to work with Arch, please upgrade to the latest FreeCAD you can get for your O/S, the dev version is currently very close to release 0.16. It has currently over 1500 bug fix and feature updates beyond 0.15. Release version do not usually get bugs fixed, any bugs found are fixed in the dev branch, so it is important to determine if any bug found in the release version (0.15 at this time) also also exist in the dev branch (0.16 currently), the Help forum is the best place to do this to save the same bug being reported many times over. I will close this ticket now, but feel free to create a new ticket if you distil this into a specific bug after first discussing it on the Help forum. Jim |

Errors were not present in release 0.16.6420 after a fix, but now on current one (0.16.6651), they still are there. when you open the project, no error is shown, but after just executing the 'recompute' macro, errors are agin on 2 'cuts'. I have kept the binary of 6420 and on this version recompute does not produce errors. I would like to attach a design file, how can I do this ? or should I open a new ticket ? I found it to attach a file ! new one is now attached. error seems not to hapen on the initial attached file. |

errors on 'cut' children of Wall_localtech. I would also ask for another thing on this same design: cannot move it properly (door is not properly shown after, because its parent wall does not move), but I have got no replies on the forum.
